From inception to launch and eventually customer success, Product Managers have a hand in the entire lifecycle of a given product. Using data and research alongside a product team, they identify ways to improve products to fulfil user demands and business needs.
In this role, candidates need to be be tech-savvy and business-savvy. They need to have a complete grasp of user experience, agile methodology, finance, and marketing. Soft skills are also important, given that they’ll need to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, as well as users and colleagues.
Meanwhile, Product Designers focus on the UI and UX of a new product or on reforging an existing one. A product can be anything from a complex website to an entire digital product or service. A Product Designer may need a background in tech to understand the coding and possibilities of a product.
